| C. and S. srl is a limited liability company formed in November 1993 by a team of former workmates. All of them gained a significant experience in construction and supply of rides to amusement parks and fairgrounds, working for Italian company SDC srl, which closed same year.
A question very often asked it’s the meaning of company’s name. C. and S. simply stands for Cars (bumper cars, of course) and Spares, the first two items produced and sold when the company was started, more than ten years ago.
Following a path of constant growth C. and S. expanded its range of products to other products for the amusement industry. Among them: indoor and outdoor tracks for bumper cars, trains and cars for rollercoasters, gondolas for major rides, cars and tracks for indoor ghost trains.
A major project carried out in year 2000 was the construction of two big trains on rail for one of the largest amusement park in Italy, Gardaland. Two engines, two coaches adapted to load wheelchairs and ten regular coaches are since then I operation on the 1 km long track called Gardaland Express.
More recently C. and S. added to its range of products for indoor centers a merry go round featuring an ancient Egypt theme. Sales and production of bumper cars track for indoor centers were particularly good in first half of 2006 with tracks delivered to Russia, Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Bahrain and Lebanon. More projects are in the pipeline for Iran, Scotland and Italy.
The alreay wide range of big and small bumper cars was increased adding 3 models of maedium-size cars: Mistral, LadyBug and Midi-Onda.
Amusement parks were not forgotten: in Spring 2006 a family attraction called “Las Llamas” was delivered to Parque Isla Magica in Seville, Spain. Las Llamas features 8 electrically powered fibreglass Llamas, in real-life size, each one able to carry on its saddle 1 adult and 1 children along a 150 m rail. A smooth up-and-down movement makes trip more enjoyable for the very young.
Nowadays C. and S. is an established reality among Italian suppliers to the amusement industry. Yearly sales in last years were over 4.000.000 Euro, of which over 75% was generated outside Italy.
C. and S. srl is currently member of I.A.A.P.A., International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions and in 1994 was among founding members of A.A.A.A., Association of Arabian Amusement Attractions.
